Learners are suggested to name some Persuasive techniques of public speaking ( questions/ repetitions/ connection and interaction with the audience/ inflection)

(W) Activity 1

Teacher review some strategies of a persuasive techniques with his/her learners. Learners practice and give some examples using different techniques. It is important to review the information about public speaking skills.

Activity 2

Learners choose one of the topics and write a persuasive speech. They should persuade the classmates to eat something or not to eat. For example, they have to persuade others that “Eating vegetables is very important for healthy living”.

Differentiation

If it is difficult for learners to write a persuasive speech individually, then they can create a Healthy eating poster in groups.

Learners present their speeches. Learners assess each other with 1 wish and a star (1 plus and 1 minus)

A Learner:
