Aims of the lesson:
1. Teaching: to teach the students to use verbs in the present tense.
2. Developing: to develop pupil’s skills and abilities on the given grammar material, developing of writing, reading and understanding of English speech.
3. Educational : to develop pupil’s skills and abilities on the given grammar material.

2. Revision of the previous material: checking up the home-task, revising grammar and lexical material, students have learnt before.
3. New grammar material: Explanation of the new grammar material, giving examples of words, word combinations and sentences.
4. Consolidation: doing written and oral grammar exercises.
5. Students’ self work: doing written exercises, translating of topic «London».
6. Making conclusion: Summarizing up the lesson, giving comments and marks.

Present Simple Tense
The Simple Present Tense употребляется для выражения постоянного или повторяющегося действия. We live in Kokshetau. I leave home at 8 every day. Временные обстоятельства, указывающие на обычное, повторяющееся действие: Always-всегда, Usually-обычно, Constantly— постоянно, Every— каждый (day- день; hour- час; week- неделя; month- месяц; year-год)
Present Simple no форме совпадает с инфинитивом глагола (без частицы to) во всех лицах, кроме 3-го лица ед. ч., принимающего окончание –s (-es). Вопросительная и отрицательная формы образуются с помощью вспомогательного глагола do (does)

London.
London is the capital of Great Britain. It is situated on the Thames.
It is a large industrial and cultural centre. It is one of the largest cities in the world.
Its population is about 9 million people.
The Thames divides London into parts: the West End and the East End.
The West End is the district of the rich. In the West End there are many famous
Museums and theatres; the City, where nobody lives and which is the commercial centre
of the country; Whitehall-the political centre, palaces and parks.
The East End is the district of factories and of the poor.
There are very many places of interest which are known to you through photographs and pictures: the Houses of Parliament, the Tower, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus , the British Museum.
London is not only a large city but also a seaport. Great ocean-going ships bring various goods from countries thousands of miles away.
